US beats Russia in oil production in August
MOSCOW, Oct 31 (PRIME) -- The U.S. surpassed Russia in oil production in August with an average daily output at 11.346 million barrels, ranking first in global oil production, according to data of the Russian Energy Ministry, the U.S. Energy Information Administration, and an OPEC report seen by PRIME on Wednesday.
The U.S. raised oil production by 3.8% on the month in August.
According to the Energy Ministry, Russia produced 47.429 million tonnes of oil in August, which is equivalent to 11.215 million barrels a day.
